This bag features 1.1mm thick chrome-tanned calf leather from the prestigious Italian tannery “INCAS.” This 1.1mm thick  calf grain leather, used by luxury brands for their apparel and bags, is crafted from New Zealand baby calf hides (less than three months old). Unlike traditional tanning methods, this leather is more environmentally friendly, using 53.7% less water and 32.5% less chemicals. This combination tanning process utilizes the benefits of both chrome and tannin, resulting in a comfortable fit and a patina that ages beautifully. After dyeing the base, the soft leather is given a hard finish. The soft leather is given a firmness that enhances comfort and allows for enjoyable aging, including the formation of wrinkles.
